Home

We finally bought a house! It is a nice 3BR/2BA with laminate hardwood flooring in every room. My favorite part is the back yard... it is huge! We move in on the 8th... Can't wait.

Fleet Foxes

Tyler has been raving about these guys for a while, so I finally decided to check them out now that I have some spare cash. Verdict: amazing.

They sound like something from the 60's- folky, but with a modern touch.

Home

Holly and I are looking for a new place to live(our lease is up in Decemeber), but we're running into a problem... We're poor... or "po" and John would say. Well we're not poor... we just can't afford most of what we want in a house.

Requirements:
Nice yard
Space, space, and more space
Garage-ish area
< $100,000

Nice-to-have's
Fireplace
Fence

Any advice?

Hops

So Tyler and I went to the Scene Lounge last night and the waitress said that Olde Town had a new beer out. I was eager to try... She warned me that it was very very very very very hoppy. This had me a little scared, so I asked to try it in a shot glass. Man was she right... this was the hoppiest beer I've ever had in my life.

"...in celebration of all of Free the Hops' hard work, will introduce our Emancipation Double IPA sometime next week. This is a well balanced IPA with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of around 10 %."

It tasted like they freed the hops and put them all in this beer.

The spider who lost his way

Man, the past two months have been wild... Got married, travelled around, killed a spider bigger than my head. Ok, well maybe it was bigger than my hand... it was still huge. Here's how it went down.

Holly and I woke up in our huge 4 bedroom cabin and went downstairs for breakfast. After eating, we started exchanging crazy spider stories. I was in the middle of a story about my Dad, when he appeared. Two feet behind Holly's head is the spider from The Lord of the Rings... I started to lose it. Holly is yelling at me to get it as if I can just "get it" without dying. She starts listing reasons why I should deal with it: "It was in our vows!" and "uh, uh... You're the man of the house".

After much needed planning time, I grabbed a pitcher and trapped him against the door. Holly covered it with a cutting board and we left him out on the porch all day... Long story short, I smashed him with a rock later on.

What would you do?
